MAHE Opens MET Phase 2 Slot Booking from May 9 for Registered Candidates

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will begin the slot booking process for the MET 2026 Phase 2 entrance examination on May 9, giving registered candidates a narrow three-day window to secure their preferred exam timings. The booking facility closes on May 11, after which no changes or new selections will be permitted. The Phase 2 examination itself is scheduled for May 23 and 24, conducted as a computer-based test.

How the Slot Booking Process Works

MAHE will deliver the MET 2026 slot booking link directly to candidates via registered email addresses, directing them to the official MET Online Test Booking System, known as the OTBS. To access the portal, candidates must log in using their MAHE application number and their OTBS password - the same credentials used during the original registration process.

Once inside the system, candidates select from available examination slots. The allocation follows a first-come, first-served structure, meaning earlier access to the portal improves the likelihood of securing a preferred date and time. Candidates should note that once a slot is confirmed, it cannot be revised or cancelled. There is no provision for rescheduling after booking is complete.

Only candidates who have fully completed MET 2026 registration are eligible to use the slot booking facility. Those with incomplete applications will not be granted access to the OTBS portal.

Key Dates Candidates Must Track

  • Slot booking opens: May 9, 2026
  • Final date for slot booking: May 11, 2026
  • Admit card release: May 20, 2026
  • Phase 2 examination dates: May 23 and 24, 2026

The admit card, or hall ticket, will be available for download from May 20 onward through the same OTBS login. Candidates will require their application number and OTBS password to retrieve it. The hall ticket is a mandatory document for entry into the examination centre and should be downloaded and verified well before exam day.

Exam Format and What Candidates Should Expect

MET 2026 Phase 2 is a computer-based test comprising 60 questions, to be completed within a two-hour duration. No additional time is granted beyond the allotted period. Phase 1 of the examination was conducted on April 13 and 14, 2026.

MAHE's Manipal Entrance Test serves as the qualifying examination for undergraduate admissions across several of its programmes. The computer-based format, now standard for most national and institutional entrance assessments, eliminates paper-handling delays and allows for faster result processing. Candidates appearing for Phase 2 are advised to familiarise themselves with computer-based test protocols ahead of the examination date, particularly if they have not previously appeared for a CBT-format assessment.

Given the short slot booking window - just three days - candidates are strongly advised to check their registered email promptly from May 9 and complete the booking process without delay.
